Standard Scoring - H2H format - 6 teams make playoffs
Roster Positions are : QB, WR, WR, RB, RB, TE, W/R/T, DEF, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, IR
Format: Auction Draft - Keep 3 players Max next season
Each team will start with auction budget of $200. You must fill all spots, but are not required to spend all money. However, unspent auction dollars will not transfer anywhere and will be lost.
Each team will have a $50 FAAB (Free Agent Acquisition Budget) for the season. This budget will be used to bid on waiver and FA acquisitions each week. If you see a player you would like, you place your blind bid, with the highest bidder being awarded the player on Weds morning. Minimum bid is $0, but once your money is out - you may no longer bid anything higher than $0
Each team is allowed a maximum of 3 moves per week.
League will be Head to Head Points league, with fractional points to reduce the likelihood of ties.
There will not be divisions. The Top 6 teams will advance to playoffs, with the top 2 earning 1st round byes.
Keeper Element - at the conclusion of the season, each team will be allowed a max of 3 keepers, at a max total cost of $20 from the initial auction. Players may be kept for up to 2 additional seasons, at the price they were originally drafted for. Non-Drafted free agent pickups will carry a cost of $5. Players who were drafter for over $20 will not be eligible to be kept.
Example - say you drafted Odell Beckham Jr. last year for $2. First off - congrats to you. Secondly, you can keep him for 2 more years (player may be on a roster for 3 years max before returning to the player pool) - and his cost will be $2 out of your maximum $20 keeper budget. You have $18 left for keepers, and two additional slots. Assuming you keep ODB Jr for two more seasons, following his third year on your roster, he must return to the player pool and may be drafted by the highest auction bidder.
Example - you drafted Jamaal Charles for $50 - he is not eligible to be kept.
Players may be traded, and will keep their drafted keeper value for the acquiring team - assuming he has not been on a roster for the entire 3 year max contract.
This is by far the most fair, and exciting Fantasy Football Format I have found. It keeps everyone in it, every year, with the top stars being up for bid each year, and with speculation on low cost rookies or breakout candidates paying HUGE dividends to lucky or savvy owners.
