This is GST'S Eldest Pro League. I allowed the league to vote for their League Purse, which I have never done since for any other league. I've decided to keep this purse until the league decides to vote on a different one. This league will always be unique for that alone, if nothing else. This league is known as GST's Backbone League because it is GST's most loyal league, experiencing less change than any other GST league over the years (despite expansion).

2009 -- To think how little I REALLY knew about commissioning back then!
Regular Season Finish: 1. Fat Bastards 2. Dataminator 3. Hoosier Daddy 4. Icewater INC 5. City of Champions 6. Cobra 7. NY Knights 8. Glassbreakers (Commish) 9. Lance Parrish 10. Drew 11. Blue Balls 12. Rainmaker 13. Tracers22j 14. Power to the People
Championship Playoff Finish: 1. Dataminator 2. Glassbreakers 3. Hoosier Daddy 4. City of Champions 5. Icewater INC 6. NY Knights 7. Fat Bastards 8. Cobra
This league has become known for its tight, crazy finishes, and year-long close competition. It all started right here, this year! No-one ever took control, it seemed like almost every team had the #1 spot at some point. It went right down to the finish to settle it all! At one point someone was trash talking and someone took offense. I said it wasn't the trash talkers the league had to worry about -- it was the quiet ones. Dataminator immediately changed his name to the "Quiet Ones". At the time he was near last. Of course he went on to Win It All, that was just par for the course for the start of this league! The Playoffs were equally tight! There were zero Big Wins and almost HALF of the competitions ended in Yahoo Tie Breakers -- including the FINALS!!

2010 -- We expanded to 16 teams, and we got some good ones -- who have been with us ever since! Two went to the Finals and made a good showing, one even going to the Finals!
Regular Season Finish: 1. Dataminator 2. Fat Bastards 3. Lance Parrish 4. Glassbreakers (Commish) 5. New York Orioles 6. Drew 7. Stewie is the Man 8. Hoosier Daddy 9. Icewater INC 10. Cross Faded 11. Cobra 12. The Biz 13. City of Champions 14. Blue Balls 15. Phantastic 16. Tracers22j
Championship Playoff Finish: 1. Lance Parrish 2. New York Orioles 3. Dataminator 4. Stewie is the Man 5. Glassbreakers 6. Fat Bastards 7. Hoosier Daddy 8. Drew
If I thought the 1st year was Tightly-Contested, then this year it was CRAZY! The Regular Season Championship was won with a Win% under .550, yet more than HALF the teams were above .500! Half the teams could have won the Regular Season Championship in the LAST WEEK!! This season will probably NEVER be duplicated ever again! Lance Parrish started the Playoffs with a Yahoo Tiebreaker Win and got stronger as he went along! I knew he was quiet (keeping with the "quiet ones" league scheme), but little did I suspect the Detroit Hammer would become one of GST's All-Time Top GMs!

2011 -- Our two top rookies from last year went in opposite directions!
Regular Season Finish: 1. Fat Bastards 2. Lance Parrish 3. Cobra 4. Icewater INC 5. Dataminator 6. Commerce Comets 7. Glassbreakers (Commish) 8. NY Deathstare 9. City of Champions 10. Drew 11. Blue Balls 12. Brooklyn Streetz 13. Tracers22j 14. The Biz 15. Hoosier Daddy 16. New York Orioles
Championship Playoff Finish: 1. NY Deathstare 2. Lance Parrish 3. Dataminator 4. Commerce Comets 5. Glassbreakers 6. Icewater INC 7. Fat Bastards 8. Cobra
Fat Bastards was the first GM to lead this league by SOMEWHAT Domination. However almost the entire rest of the league was fighting for the Playoffs right till the Finish Line! Last year's Rookie Stewie is the Man JUST made it into the Playoffs but put on a show once there -- beating the Regular Season Champion, then a Defending League Champion, and finally the Defending Champion in a close Finals!!

2012 -- The League Name and League Concept was changed to ProTrader and the league expanded to 18 teams. It was time for the other Top Rookie from two years ago to put on a show.....
Regular Season Finish: 1. New York Orioles 2. Queen Kard Sharks 3. Commerce Comets 4. Dataminator 5. Fat Bastards 6. City of Champions 7. Drew 8. Tracers22j 9. Cobra 10. NY Deathstare 11. The Biz 12. Glassbreakers (Commish) 13. Lance Parrish 14. Drew 15. Icewater INC 16. Flaming Marshmellows 17. Brooklyn Streetz 18. Drunk Cubs Fan
Championship Playoff Finish: 1. Queen Kard Sharks 2. New York Orioles 3. Commerce Comets 4. Fat Bastards 5. City of Champions 6. Tracers22j 7. Drew 8. Dataminator
Something AMAZING happened in this league that had never happened before in GST and has never happened since! New York Orioles, one of the Top Rookies from 2 years ago, went from Dead Last to the Regular Season Championship! He was doing it in Dominating Style, becoming the first GM to own a .600+ Win% after the Halfway Mark in this league -- but this league being so COMPETITIVE, eventually caught and passed him, only to have him rally and BARELY hold the league off. It was to be ANOTHER year in here that CAME DOWN TO THE WIRE...with MANY teams capable of Winning the Top Spot, or at least make the Playoffs, ONCE AGAIN. A Total Free for All, which is only natural in THIS league! From there he almost became the 1st GM to achieve the Deadly Double in here, except he was beaten by another League Rookie, Queen Kard Sharks, in the Finals. Queen Kard Sharks, at this time, was one of the Hottest Up and Comers in GST. He is now a GST Regular and great things are EXPECTED of him in every league he enters.

2013 -- Dataminator is the ONLY GM in GST that I had actually competed against BEFORE the creation of GST. He has been one of the most vocal GMs to defend GST when it was most needed (early on). Though not prolific, I have always promoted him as the League Favorite in THIS league, for good reason, not because of our virtual friendship, but because he has had the Best Overall Track Record. He was to make me seem prophetic this year!
Regular Season Finish: 1. Glassbreakers (Commish) 2. Commerce Comets 3. 1991 Atlanta Braves 4. Long Island Firedogs 5. Dataminator 6. Brooklyn Streetz 7. Shang Hai Grand 8. Brooklyn Streetz 9. NY Deathstare 10. DC Cubs 11. Blue Balls 12. Drew 13. Mayo IV 14. Lance Parrish 15. Fat Bastards 16. Fafa 17. Tracers22j 18. Icewater INC
Playoff Championship Finish: 1. Dataminator 2. Commer Comets 3. Glassbreakers 4. Brooklyn Streetz 5. New York Orioles 6. Shang Hai Grand 7. Shang Hai Grand 8. Long Island Firedogs
I was to become to 1st team to Dominate this league. I started slow and built up steam as I went. It came as a total surprise to me as I found myself the 1st team with a Win% over .600 in this league. Even then there were teams who could have caught me easily had I faltered. In the end it was Dataminator once again, becoming the 1st Ever GM to win 2 Championships in this league, despite the Loyalty this league has always had! While done before, it is QUITE UNCOMMON, as there are MANY GST leagues who have never had a 2 Time Champion yet!

2014 -- Why have I spent so much time talking about a couple of GMs who came in as Rookies a few years back? The answer to that question was to culminate this year......
Regular Season Finish: 1. NY Deathstare 2. Lance Parrish 3. New York Orioles 4. Clark and Addison 5. Fat Bastards 6. Drunk Cubs Fan 7. Spin Doctors 8. Kard Sharks 9. Glassbreakers 10. Commerce Comets 11. Drew 12. Passion of Trade 13. 1991 Atlanta Braves 14. Dataminator 15. Shang Hai Grand 16. Long Island Firedogs 17. Tracers22j 18. Blue Balls
Championship Playoff Finish: 1. New York Orioles 2. NY Deathstare 3. Spin Doctors 4. Clark and Addison 5. Fat Bastards 6. Drunk Cubs Fan 7. Lance Parrish 8. Kard Sharks
I found myself in the Lead, taking over from Lance Parrish who had safely led most of the year, on the backs of a 9 game Winning Streak (unheard of in THIS league), with 2 weeks to go. That's when I got DESTROYED by NY Deathstare, propelling him into the Regular Season Championship (BARELY)! NY Deathstare won in a Very Close Battle over Kard Sharks (who, with a Final Big Win had knocked me out of the playoffs as Commerce Comets and I battled for the 8th spot to a 9-9 tie), then ROARED through the 2nd Round into the Finals. In the meantime New York Orioles had to BATTLE his way through the Playoffs, including a 9-9 Yahoo decided Tie, into the Finals also. The 2 Hot Rookies of a few years back would meet and New York Orioles would FINALLY get his League Championship in a Fever Pitch BATTLE between the two -- earning his own chance to represent this league in the Tournament of Champions. NY Deathstare, then known as Stewie the Man LED the TOC before fading, let's see how New York Orioles does.........?

2015 -- This is GST's Eldest Pro League, and easily its Most Loyal and Competitive. League History tells us the New York Deathstare and New York Orioles swap the Regular Season Championship each year and Dataminator will come from the Depths of the League to Contest the Finals. Let's see what THIS YEAR brings us!
Regular Season Finish: 1. New York Deathstare 2. Drew 3. Spin Doctors 4. Passion of Trades 5. Drunk Cubs Fan 6. DC Cubs 7. Lance Parrish 8. Dataminator 9. Fat Bastards 10. Bevos 11. Commerce Comets 12. Clark & Addison 13. Kard Sharks 14. New York Orioles 15. JVJ Cobra 16. Glassbreakers (Commish) 17. Fire Dogs 18. 1991 Atlanta Braves
Championship Playoff Finish: 1. Lance Parrish 2. Dataminator 3. Drunk Cubs Fan 4. Spin Doctors 5. Passion of Trades 6. DC Cubs 7. Drew 8. New York Deathstare
True to form, New York Deathstare took his (predetermined?) turn at winning the Regular Season Championship. What's disconcerting is that each, in their own turn, is beginning to Dominate the League more and more each year! Also True to Form, Dataminator came from the Depths of the League to Squeak into the Playoffs, and eventually into the Finals. However, Lance Parrish, who had ANOTHER All-Time Record Performing Season rolled through the Playoffs, at least until he ran into Dataminator in the Finals, where he eventually won with a Tie-Breaker Squeaking Competition!! He would end up winning 3 MAJOR GST League Championships!
High Win%: .611 Low Win%: .391

2016 -- This is the year this league faced its first crash, one of the biggest experienced by a GST League. Most of it was my fault, with a Dreadful Choice of Draft Date (which I was unaware of) and had myself Pinched into a Spot, where I couldn't change it and leave this Prime Weekend Date unfilled. Luckily, more so than even year prior, the GST Regulars came Poring to the Rescue. We ended up with 16 teams, down a couple, but Loaded With Competition!
Regular Season Finish: 1. Spin Doctors 2. Drew 3. Fat Bastards 4. New York Deathstare 5. JRCole's Team 6. Firedogs 7. Lance Parrish 8. Kard Sharks 9. King of Homeruns 10. Bone Wars 11. Moonty Hall 12. New York Orioles 13. Drunken Bastards 14. Bevos 15. Glassbreakers (Commish) 16. Texas Leaguers
Championship Playoff Finish: 1. New York Deathstare 2. Drew 3. Kard Sharks 4. Fat Bastards 5. JRCole's Team 6. Firedogs 7. Lance Parrish 8. Spin Doctors
This league Reverted to Form, giving GST its Most Competitive League! Spin Doctors barely won out by out-moving everybody else and his Top Trading (as he's quite known for). But this season gave us one of the Most Fascinating GST Stories to date. NYD came from DEEP Cellar very late in the season and put on a Display -- Driving to the 4th Playoff Position by Year's End and then Rolling Through the Competition to become League Champion once again!!!
High Win%: .570 Low Win%: .370
