This league was created for Active GMs, of course it would have to be made in the parameters of the GST Standards of Excellence, which requires "fairness for ALL strategies -- which was QUITE the challenge! The name for this league at first GST ProActive. I also wanted an Auction League, and I figured this would be the perfect choice, since I never wanted this league to grow large enough to scrimp on Waiver Players.

2010 -- We manage to scrum up 10 teams this inaugural season. We had a 4 Team Playoff.
Regular Season Finish: 1. 69 Village II 2. She Likesmy Sizemore 3. Rolorado Cockies 4. Los Gigantes 5. Glassbreakers (Commish) 6. City of Champions 7. Score Lords 8. Lou Whitaker 9. HB All Stars 10. Expos
Championship Playoff Finish: 1. 69 Village II 2. Rolorado Cockies 3. Los Gigantes 4. She Likesmy Sizemore
Well it certainly SEEMED like I made the stats for the Extra Active GM! 69 Village II absolutely DESTROYED the GST Move Record with 617 moves! Almost TRIPLE anybody else in the league and the GST previous Move Record! However it was NOT a Dominant Regular Season Championship, though not a Squeaker either. It was up in the air till pretty late. The Playoffs were not easy for 69 Village II either -- winning by 2 the First Round and by a Yahoo Tiebreaker in the Finals!

2011 -- I REALLY considered changing the Stat Line to make it LESS suitable for Big Movers. Deep down I felt it wasn't necessary and didn't. I'm very glad I left it alone! We expanded to 12 teams and an 8 team Playoff.
Regular Season Finish: 1. City of Champions 2. Rolorado Cockies 3. Karate Kid 4. Beardstown Riverrats 5. KI Gorillas 6. Trust in Hamilton 7. 69 Village 8. Lou Whitaker 9. Glassbreakers (Commish) 10. Termoonators 11. Drew III 12. Homers for Hosmer
Championship Playoff Finish: 1. 69 Village 2. KI Gorillas 3. Lou Whitaker 4. Karate Kid 5. Beardstown Riverrats 6. Trust in Hamilton 7. City of Champions 8. Rolorado Cockies
Tied for GST's smallest league (12 teams). This was definitely GST's "sassiest" league! Pure fun from 1st to last. Some dead serious competition also!
This league was successfully designed to be GST's most "active" league and built for very active GMs to compete with each other. The "average" yearly moves for all teams was well over a hundred! Defending champion, 69 Village, DESTROYED his own All-Time GST yearly record for moves with 600+ moves!!! Still all GST leagues are built solely on BALANCE and it was no different with this league. Though newcomer Karate Kid dominated early, he was eventually caught for the AL lead by City of Champions who only made 25 (or so) moves!! AND that wasn't the LEAST--- as one GST Regular only made 18 moves (also making the playoffs)! This is one of the few leagues Yours Truly (me) missed the playoffs (by a whisker).
We had a first round rematch of last year's Finals contestants, Rolorado Cockies (who won the regular season) and 69 Village (who squeaked into the playoffs). Once again 69 Village SQUEAKED past him and then roared through the rest of the playoffs----becoming the FIRST team to EVER win a Consecutive Pro League Championship in GST history!!!
69 Village had a Losing Record, even AFTER his successful Playoff Run.

2012 -- 69 Village did not return to pursue Back-to-Back-to-Back Championships, instead he moved to ProCEO. We had lots of New Faces!
Regular Season Finish: 1. Score Lords 2. Maynardtown Braves 3. Beardstown Riverrats 4. Spin Doctors 5. Big Stick 6. Bling Bling 7. Glassbreakers (Commish) 8. City of Champions 9. Northsiders 10. Rolorado Cockies 11. Salty Seamen 12. Lou Whitaker 13. Termoonators 14. Dreader than Dread
Championship Playoff Finish: 1. Score Lords 2. Beardstown Riverrats 3. Spin Doctors 4. Glassbreakers 5. Maynardtown Braves 6. Bling Bling 7. City of Champions 8. Big Stick
It was my personal thought, that when 69 Village stepped into another league, that Rolorado Cockies would finally get the Championship he had so closely missed the first 2 years of league existence. It was not to be:
Score Lords, in his GST expansion, stepped back into this league. "The Dominator", as he is now known, dominated every league he entered in the Regular Season, including this one (he wasn't TOTALLY Dominant here, like some other leagues). There was 1 critical difference though, after a Squeaker Tie Win in the 1st round -vs- City of Champions, he ROLLED through the rest of the Playoffs and took his first GST Championship--thereby heading back into the Tournament of Champions after an absence!
In this league, designed for the Big Movers, he didn't compare to the REALLY Big Movers, but he did have the most moves in his Division (barely). After losing 69 Village and his 600+ moves, I was worried we wouldn't have any more Big Movers. I needn't have worried. True nobody matched 69 Village's Move Record, but we DID have 3 GMs with 500+ moves!

2013 -- This league has changed from being 1 of the hardest to fill, to one of the quickest to fill and to get paid up in full! Love it!
Regular Season Finish: 1. Maynardtown Braves 2. Bling Bling 3. Beardstown Riverrats 4. Big Stick 5. Northsiders 6. Rolorado Cockies 7. Score Lords 8. Spin Doctors 9. Glassbreakers (Commish) 10. DC Cubs 11. City of Champions 12. Salty Seamen 13. Termoonators 14. Lou Whitaker
Championship Playoff Finish: 1. Big Stick 2. Spin Doctors 3. Score Lords 4. Beardstown Riverrats 5. Bling Bling 6. Rolorado Cockies 7. Maynardtown Braves 8. Northsiders
Spin Doctors broke the GST Move Record with 685! But Bling Bling won a Division in the Regular Season with the Record LOW amount of moves in this league with just 14!! I guess the GST Standards of Excellence is WORKING! But it was Big Stick's Breakout Moment in GST this year! He beat the Regular Season Champ in the 1st Round, the Defending Champion in the 2nd Round in a couple Close Wins, and then beat Spin Doctors, the GST Moves Breaker pretty handily in the Finals! He had burst into GST, becoming a GST Regular, and was Right There often -- but finally won a Championship, making it into the Tournament of Champions (where he represented the league quite well!)!
Side Note: Score Lords set the GST All-Time Playoffs Largest Win Record with a 20-1 TROUNCING in the 3rd Place Final!

2014 -- The league was the First to Fill Up and get Paid Up! Sweeet!
Regular Season Finish: 1. Salty Seamen 2. Maynardtown Braves 3. Score Lords 4. Rolorado Cockies 5. Spin Doctors 6. Glassbreakers (Commish) 7. Rookie Legends 8. Big Stick 9. Lou Whitaker 10. The Tommy Johns 11. Metropolitans 12. DC Cubs 13. Northsiders 14. Bling Bling
Championship Playoff Finish: 1. Score Lords 2. Rookie Legends 3. Big Stick 4. Spin Doctors 5. Rolorado Cockies 6. Glassbreakers 7. Maynardtown Braves 8. Salty Seamen
Moves were way down! Nobody made 500 moves, and MORE than HALF of the teams did not even make 50 moves, including Regular Season Champion Salty Seamen and League Champion Score Lords!?
What a Rookie Class! I had to encourage Rookie Legends over the phone to try an auction draft. He contended all season and JUST BARELY MISSED OUT on a Championship! Meanwhile The Tommy Johns started off getting totally TROUNCED out of the gate. He claimed his team was decimated by injuries and changed his team name to The Tommy Johns. Before the year was over he had recovered quite nicely, just missing out on the Playoffs.
This was the MOST competitive year EVER in this league! Many teams had the lead at one time or another. Salty Seamen eked out Top Team status. He came from the American League which strangely fielded 6 of the Playoff Teams. Score Lords, on his way to one of the Most Successful GST Seasons EVER, blew through the Playoffs, including his buddy the Defending Champion and myself, until he went against Rookie Legends -- who dueled him to a Yahoo decided tie in the Finals!

2015 -- The League underwent its 1st Expansion ever. The league was created as a forum for the Big Movers to compete with each other, but with GST's Standards of Excellence, the Big Movers have not been able to claim the Regular Season Championship in years. With Beardstown Riverrats and 700 rejoining, that seemed likely to change! The only question was: would the League Expansion make Giant Move Rates harder?
Regular Season Finish: 1. Beardstown Riverrats 2. Karate Kid 3. Spin Doctors 4. DC Cubs 5. 700 6. Long Island Brawlers 7. Score Lords 8. Rookie Legends 9. The American Dream 10. Lou Whitaker 11. Walls of Ivey 12. Maynardtown Braves 13. Glassbreakers (Commish) 14. Salty Seamen 15. Passion of Boston 16. Northsiders
Championship Playoff Finish: 1. Spin Doctors 2. Beardstown Riverrats 3. Karate Kid 4. 700 5. DC Cubs 6. Score Lords 7. Long Island Brawlers 8. Rookie Legends
Beardstown Riverrats didn't break the GST Move All-Time Record -- but CAME DAMN CLOSE as he Rolled through the Regular Season! The league was in the process of Bringing him Back to Earth when the Finish Line finished that process. Still, once again he could not beat Spin Doctors in the Finals.

2016 -- This league ran into tough times with defections. We ended up going back to 14 teams.
Regular Season Finish: 1. Spin Doctors 2. Score Lords 3. The India Pale Ales 4. Beardstown Riverrats 5. Maynardtown Braves 6. DC Cubs 7. Stroman's Bandits 8. Long Island Brawlers 9. 700 10. Lou Whitaker 11. Northsiders 12. The American Dream 13. Rookie Legend 14. Glassbreakers (Commish)
Championship Playoff Finish: 1. Beardstown Riverrats 2. Score Lords 3. Long Island Brawlers 4. DC Cubs 5. Spin Doctors 6. The India Pale Ales 7. Stroman's Bandits 8. Maynardtown Braves
As you can see by the Win%s, nobody could dominate. The competition was FIERCE ALL YEAR LONG. At one point midseason Maynardtown Braves was Deep Cellar, and you can see he ended up in the Playoffs. Spin Doctors has really BECOME A FORCE in GST, but this was the year Beardstown Riverrats finally broke though, living up to his potential and Won his 1st GST League Championship! Quite proud of that!
High Win%: .560 Low Win%: .433
